Cooper Murray – TRICO Ambassador
Coming from a racing pedigree, Victorian talent Cooper Murray has been on consistent tear throughout his racing career, which has seen a rapid rise through the ranks to the Supercars Championship, punctuated with immense success throughout his journey. Beginning with two Australasian championship titles in the cadet class and six state championship titles as well as Formula Ford podiums, Cooper was the clear standout in the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge and a Championship favourite until a clutch failure on the grid led to him being collected off the start and finishing runner-up. From becoming the youngest-ever race and round winner in Australia’s Carrera Cup history after an incredible clean sweep in Townsville, Murray transitioned into the Dunlop Super2 Championship in 2023, where he would record a sheet comprising two race wins, one pole position, and five podiums enroute to an impressive fourth place in the season standings. Cooper remained teamed up with the Eggleston Motorsport for select rounds of the Super2 Series in 2024 and also partnered with Triple Eight for the Supercheap Auto Wildcard, running at the Darwin Triple Crown, the Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000 with Craig Lowndes. Murray was a stand-out in a field of full-time drivers, making the Top Ten Shootout on his debut in Darwin, finishing 5th at Sandown (the best ever Supercars Result for a Wildcard entry) and flying through the field at his first Bathurst 1000, with the highlights reel from the race consisting of his fight from 18th to the front of the field, before a penalty sent him down the order. The future is bright for Murray as he now takes on his first year in the Supercars Championship full-time, with reigning Driver and Teams Championship Winners, Erebus Motorsport.
